1.-JUSTIFICATION: • The nursing team at the sterilization unit detects the need to update the manual for surgical instruments, as follows, in order to unify the performance criteria among the team
2.-PURPOSE AND SCOPE
• Annually review the Manual for Surgical Instruments
• Photos done with surgical instruments per each container:
• Instruments easily recognized by the photos that are attached to that list
- Right equipment for each container
• Dissemination of the procedure among all professionals in the University Hospital Santa Cristina

3. - Material and method a). Consensus among all surgical and sterilization equipment, surgical instruments to be deposited in each surgical contenerdor. b). Description of probability sampling for audit. c). Conducting internal and external audits to assess the correct assignment of each container. 4. - Results: a) The manual helps to identify, visually with photographs of the instruments, which instruments that are placed in each container. b) the manual is spread between all professionals at the sterilization unit. .c). Assessment Audit for proper allocation of surgical instruments in each container.
