General objective: All patients admitted at FHNB are correctly identified by an ID wristband
Specific objectives:
* Identify all patients admitted , with a wristband that includes personal details ( name, surname , date of birth, room number...)
* Before any procedure, hospital staff should check the wristband with medical records.
Description of the Patient Safety Practice
 
1.Observing the correct identification of the patient since June 2012.
2. Semiannual observations to check correct identification of patients admitted to the hospital according to institutional protocol. We are currently in rates of 97% compliance.
3. Apply corrective measures to meet the quality standards of patient identification indicator.
4. Send mail to staff remembering target patient identification protocol.
