Aim and the benefit of the Patient Safety Practice

We hope: • to provide better access to information and documentation that neurological patients may need. • Facilitate knowledge and understanding of different neurological diseases, for the various patients with these conditions as for their families. • Receive feedback from the neurological patient, who after learning the characteristics of his/her disease, can tell us more accurately certain symptoms that had gone unnoticed and differentiate changes that may occur in the patient condition. • Try to approach the other side of the disease, the more personal and human as well as familiar and social problem. • Provide the family and the patient with a minimum knowledge needed for a better treatment compliance and care, within the family context, facilitating the formation of the caretaker. • Ensure the rights of patients and their families to an effective, accurate, current, comprehensive and adequate information on the process. Simplify and standardize documentation Section of Neurology.
Description of the Patient Safety Practice

We developed a webpage for the Section of Neurology (https://sites.google.com/site/z1neurologia/ ) that complements the activity and provides assistance to patients and families in a clear and appropriate language, a simple, proven, objective, accurate, timely and quality information on various neurological diseases related to our portfolio of services, complemented with a blog ( http://neurologia-z1.blogspot.com.es/ ) where information related to neurology and other more general issues, also related to the world of health care is provided. We intend to solve all, or nearly all, major neurological problems that may arise from the patient's perspective as well as the avoidance of doubt and uncertainty that can originate until the patient reach the next neurological examination. In preparing this information we would like to have the vision and guidance of existing family associations. Assessment methods: • By tracking site statistics. • Degree of acceptance by patients neurological Sector I. • Degree of development and updating of various neurological processes. • Degree of consensus and preparing documents Neurology Section Sector A Quality and Acceptance Survey was made. It allow us to have a more objective information than the verbal information reported by patients.
